I'd think if Dobson were going to sign long-term, he'd want something closer to $7-8M. He seems to be in Chabot territory.

Lou and Dubas aren't doing each other any favors probably. A 7th does nothing for the Leafs.

If Bailey can be moved, they probably don't trade Varly anyways.

When the Leafs signed Samsonov for 1.8m, I thought maybe the Leafs were set in goal with Samsonov and Kallgren. But then Dubas and friends decided to waste an additional 4m by signing Murray.
Kallgren can be claimed off waivers, so maybe he does get traded.
I was thinking Vegas was "saved" by having both Weber and Lehner on LTIR for the season. Don't see them acquiring a 5m goalie, though they definitely need some capable. Hey, maybe FleuryConfused

Kallgren can be claimed but they can send him down prior to waivers being activated. So, a trade at this point doesn't make sense, especially not for a late pick.

Vegas can probably get one of the SJ guys or Allen if they are willing to pay up.

If Vegas can afford 4.7m, maybe the Leafs can give them Murray and Leafs keep Kallgren. I can dream can't I?

tears of joy, you can, you can. Just give Murray a chance though to put on the jersey and lace the skates.

Regardless of team loyalty, I wish Murray the best of success. Still a really puzzling acquisition when other goalies who are just as good (IMO) available to be signed cheaper.

They did their due diligence on his injury history, I wonder though if it was to make sure he was healthy or to see how likely he is to get injured. I'm sure they believe that Murray and Samsonov can actually compete with each other for the starter role, but perhaps they expect Murray to get injured at some point.
