Why does anyone think Anaheim will pay anything for a rental Zucker? We decline.

The only piece of interest for the Canucks in that trade is the 1st. They decline easily

You’re just trading a bunch of nothing to Vancouver. Just a bunch of depth players slapped together with a couple picks. Penguins GM doesn’t want Miller or else he wouldn’t have traded Marino away

All it takes is a 2023 first and top prospect. The Canucks are getting a lot of depth players in this trade, but no top prospect. (Poulin is nowhere close to a top prospect)

You really think that would get Miller? Overpaid/unneeded Kapanen, depth dman Friedman, unneeded LHD POJ, okay prospect Poulin, a late 1st (only actual good/useful piece), and two 2nds?

Canucks want quality, not quantity

Yes I do. Because it's late in the off-season and we are still posting trades acting like nothing is enough. I see a 1st and TWO 2nd's and thats appealing to the eyes enough. A depth player in Kapanen and a prospects pool. I believe this is more than enough. An overpay actually for a RENTAL. Biased overpricing by everyone who is a Nucks fan on this site.

Kapanen is essentially a cap dump for the Canucks. He’d be a 3M 4th liner, and we already have Pearson making that much on the 4th line. POJ would be stuck behind Hughes, OEL, Rathbone, and probably Dermott, he adds little value to the Canucks. Poulin is okay but nothing special, and is also another winger which the Canucks have no need for. The 1st is good, and the 2nds are alright (but 2 and 3 years away, and the Canucks want young impact players not a plethora of picks)

A 1st and top prospect is the minimum starting point for Miller, and I don’t think that’s exactly an unfair ask (and yes I know some Canucks fans overvalue him thinking we can get Dobson or something like that, but those are a small amount of delusional fans)
