I'll take the chance that Comtois will have a more positive impact than Zucker or Joseph, individually OR collectively.

I like Zucker as a cap dump move, has a nice feel good story to it. I see no reason to get get POJ, we have Zelwegger and Mintyukov.

Why the hell is Drysdale on the third pairing, and why did you dig Moore back up?

A lot of Penguins fans have a lot of belief POJ is NHL ready. He’s been impressive in every game he’s played in the big leagues and Anaheim would be adding a good young defencemen and trading a young struggling forward. While the Ducks do still have Zellweger and Mintyukov, they realistically won’t be in the big leagues for about 2-3 years.

Zucker played STELLAR hockey last year and suffered bad shooting luck and injury. I'm not saying he's going to light it up this year, but my bet is he's a 40 point guy with 15 to 20 goals.

That said, it's very unlikely POJ gets moved. Dumoulin is likely gone after this year and POJ is part of the future. POJ is basically going to be another Pettersson, but with a little more offense.

EDIT: I think the Pens are better served by keeping Zucker at least until the deadline than pay a premium to move him. He's a useful player despite not living up to his contract.

Comtois also had injury and a roster fluctuating with deadline rentals to contend with. The year prior he was our teams leading scorers.

We also just picked up Vaakanainen, and from what Boston fans tell me, they wish they'd kept him.

I don't think this is a match for either side.

Comtois is a fine player and I think he'll be good, so it really didn't have much to do with him, but yes, I don't think it really makes sense for either team.
