Seider, I’d argue his ceiling is higher but both are very promising, we’ll see in 5 years how this goes

It's Seider by a mile. Dude is the next Pronger.

Don't get me wrong. Dobson is very good and only has up to go, but there's just something very special about Seider.

"Just something very special about Seider?" that doesn't sound tangible enough to put stock into

You guys wouldn't make it very far as NHL scouts if that's your attitude

Good luck finding a scout outside of the Isles that would put Dobson over Seider

I don’t see these two as in the same class at all. Seider is already one of the best in the game. I won’t compare people to Lidstrom too often but he may just be in that class

Oh no! You mean my life long aspirations have been destroyed?!?!? You mean this site wasn't real practice for a job as an NHL scout?!?! NOOOOOOOOOO!

He reminds me of a non-dickhead version of Pronger.

There’s really not a good argument that seider is miles ahead of Dobson. I’d take seider over Dobson but at worst they are equal right now.

Dobson has been in the league for three seasons and Seider for one. Seider is certainly ahead of where Dobson was even though they're only a year apart age-wise. Seider can bring same production while playing a much more sound defensive game and a MUCH more physical game.

I mean, that's just a bad take. Saying someone wouldn't make it far as an NHL scout because they think a phenomenal player is phenomenal? I don't know what you're on about, if you ask me they have the right idea.

Sounds to me like somebody is a little too star struck. Not saying there isn't room to be awed and wowed as a scout, but can't let it completely dominate one's ability to assess

Not destroyed, but I'd say some reassessing of how you'd do your job may be in order, especially if you're let go by one team and want to sell yourself to another organization for a gig

That Seider chart isnt very up to date to be fair, its from November

If were comparing only their 21-22 season with percentiles among D with 200+ mins

Seider: WAR: 84%, EV Offense: 88%, EV Defense: 73%, Shooting: 29%, Penalties: 85%, PP: 84%, PK: 15%
Dobson: WAR: 92%, EV Offense: 66%, EV Defense: 42%, Shooting: 92%, Penalties: 98%, PP: 66%, PK: 79%

I'll stand by it. Seider is more well-rounded. While I don't think physical play is must, being able to play how he does while playing a physically punishing game puts him in another class.

I don't take this as seriously as you do. I don't feel I necessarily own anyone here the time and research to prove my points. If it's readily available, sure I'll post it, but I do have a life outside this board lol

I just happen to be under the weather today.
