Muzzin is too expensive. CBJ would have to send back Nyquist or Bean+??

If Muzzin improves CBJ why don’t the leafs just keep him? Regardless I don’t think he would waive.

The cap is still going to be flat next year. It's gotta take a real big add to move the final year of a $5.625 mil contract. If you don't agree, the Jackets could find a far less expensive 3LD option through free agency.

Sandin really wants to play the left side. We'll see how he does this season, if he excels he could be in the top 4, and Gudas should replace Muzzin's toughness at a cheaper price, plus he's RH

If Sillinger and Johnson put up good offensive numbers they could replace Nyquist's offence. Only big names to resign are Gavrikov, Korpi, and Chinakov. The addition of Muzzin brings their cap room to about 8 million.

This is next year. He only has a 10 team no trade list

He should be easy to trade if it comes to it after next July 1. Only a 10 team no trade list and only 2 mil in salary after signing bonus paid. But again next summer.

Gavrikov, Texier, Peeke and Chinakhov are the important players to re-sign. They could easily end up costing over $10 mil together.

Why do you think the cap will be flat next year? Many projections I have seen say going up to $84-85m.

Suppose I should say "fairly flat", but I don't see it rising more than 1-1.5 mil

Based on what? When I look at the history of the salary cap and the current revenue and projected revenue I would have to think more of a jump is coming.

Based on the players still have 2-3 seasons of play before the escrow is fully repaid. Bettman was just saying during the cup final when he was interviewed that he isn't willing to predict a significant raise to the cap until 25-26 after the escrow is fully repaid in 24-25.
