Would be 2C by committee. Dvorak, newhook, and Statsny all take turns, roll with whoever is playing the best and move the other two into the bottom 6. Of none of them are working, drop rantanen or Landeskog to 2C and see how they do

I would argue Dvorak would be more valuable than Girard in the playoffs. 2 way center >>>>> small Dman.

Colorado just proved they can win without Girard. He would be a reasonnable price to pay for long term center depth.

Dvorak had a bad year but isn’t that bad. Girard also had a bad year but isn’t as bad as how he was last year. Though yeah, Montreal would have to add, as mentioned

They already have all of those guys except Dvorak and Stastny but they can still sign Staz. No need to add yet another guy into the mix while giving up a cost-controlled top-four D; better to wait for a real 2C to become available if that's the direction they want to go.

Did Dvorak really have a bad year tho? He had his best point totals and wasn't any worse than any other player on the team during the Ducharme part of the season. Had a massive second half too once MSL got there.

If anything, he had a career average year, overall. Many other players on the team had "bad" years. I wouldn't say Dvorak was one of them.
