Winnipeg has $6,200,000 to sign 4 more players, They're the very last team that can afford Warren Foegele.

Jets probably just go the pto route or from the farm, they need some kids or ufas to play over there contract and crack top 6. Similiar to a lot of teams.

No, the next few players are young guys who are not on the list yet. It's basically 4M to spare

The point tho is that EDM needs to pay to get rid of cap, a 5th doesn't cut it

It likely costs more than that to dump Foegele.

Yeah Foegele would cost at least a 2nd round pick to move not a 6th round pick.

There is no way he is a solid third line player he is maybe 500k overplayed when you compare him to other players with similar stats however due to Edmonton’s depth and cap situation they can’t afford to keep him a second is no where near right.

Well neither is a 6th right either, Perhaps a 3rd but you're not getting rid of him for lesser picks i can tell you that right now.

I really don’t get your hate for Foegele he just quietly played the full 82 game regular season and playing mostly on the bottom 2 lines got 26 points or roughly 0.31 points per game averaging 12 minutes per game. This would be an improvement on many NHL teams 3rd line wingers. If you rank every forward who played last year based on points he ranks 245th which when you divide by 32 teams that puts him as on average between the teams the 7th or 8th highest scoring player on an average lineup. Like I said above he is slightly over payed but not so much that he has no value.

It's not the fact of him being overpaid, it's the fact of EDM being over the cap

It is very simple, EDM needs to move him. WPG doesn't need to acquire him. The ball is in WPG hands. They dictate the term. If you don't like it, tough luck.
