Yeeah, why are we giving away Robertson for Bonino and a 3rd? grimace

That is also too much for Comtois. He was also on that 2018 WJC roster so i wouldn't touch any of those 20 or so players with a 50 foot pole until the investigation is over.

Anaheim won't be competitive this season, so the Ducks can afford to wait for Urho Vaakanainen and Olen Zellweger to mature another year -- there's no urgency to acquire Rasmus Sandin or rent Alex Kerfoot.

Why, Kerfoot is already making 3.5 mil and is a ufa. Max can be resigned for cheaper and I would rather keep him.

I'd say the only thing we give up for Kerfoot is Grant, otherwise it's FC.

I know Toronto fans are hoping mad at the idea that we want them to pay to dump Kerfoot, but 1 year of him does nothing for us. If they want value for him they have to send him to a competitor, not a cap dump team where his value is zero to negative.

If Sandin was a RHD I would consider it, but we already will have to shed LD prospects as it is, why bring in ANOTHER one when we have so many? Zels and Minty are probably going to be just as good as Sandin.

I can’t say for comtois himself but like half those players weren’t there and confirmed not there already and I think comtois was one of the ones not there

That's a terrible deal with San Jose. If you want to buy a vet like Bonino it costs a lot less

The Anaheim deal is intriguing but given the year Comtois is coming off its an overpay

Anyone who doesn't have Kampf as the leafs 3rd line center, doesn't watch the leafs games.

Comtois has publicly denied having any involvement.

Leafs loaded with LWers, don't need Comtois especially at the expense of Sandin. Rather have Robertson long term one year of Bonimo. Gee there are lots of 1m centres available.

How do you justify moving Kampf down to the 4th line? He took almost all d-zone faceoffs played against the other teams #1 or #2 line and was still a +12 for the season. He was also one of the best forwards last year in the playoffs.

Then he puts Bonino on the 3rd line over Kampf, who was excellent at the shutdown role last season.

Even I admit Bonino will be cheaper. I bet we keep him til the TDL just because he is from Boston Univ. and Grier and Quinn are obsessed with Boston players lol

For the record I like Bonino. He's who I wanted when we went out and signed Kampf. Clearly Kampf worked out, but still I like bonino

Kerfoot is a good player who isn’t worth a 2nd at that cap hit like the Leafs legions think he is. I’d gladly take him on and retain 50% and have some team give the Ducks a 2nd for him at the deadline. I also think Sandin is a heck of a LHD. I am not high on Zellweger. He has been extremely hit or miss for Canada at the WJC

Kerfoot is only worth what he can be flipper for to the Ducks, and since there is significant risk involved (injury, his points production takes a significant hit) the best I will pay for him is FC. Comtois had a down season largely due to injury, I don't see the reason to sell low, and we are rather light on power forwards at the moment, I wouldn't want to ship one out in exchange for an average sized middle six guy who we need to keep in a favorable position in the line up to maintain his points totals.

We also still have Mintyukov after Zelwegger. I don't think a few bag games at the WJC is enough to tarnish Owens projection of superstar potential from his last two seasons. Certainly not enough to consider going out and getting another scoring LD. Players go through ****, they are not machines that pump out their average stats each game.

Besides, if we got Sandin, who do we pair him with? We're not putting him with Klingberg or Drysdale, so he would be with Shattenkirk, who I think is our third pairing this season.
