Tavares won't be moved. Full nmc, the captain and hometown guy who came here for one reason.

So you honestly expect Boston to use a 1st to trade a 25 year old 25 goal scorer for a 30 year old 11 goal scorer?

Crack is bad.

A 1 for 1 swap had they not signed Bergy and DK might have gotten their interest. Granlund’s value to Boston is as a middle 6 center. With DK, Coyle, Zacha there it isn’t needed as much as Debrusk’s goal scoring is.

You chose one statistic and focused in on that. You didn't mention that Granlund had 36 more assists and 24 more points or that he is a more complete player than Debrusk.

Only thing we need from that position is put the puck in the net 25-30 times. That’s not Granlunds game. Team needs matter.

As I said had they still needed a center in a 1 for 1 swap. Or B’s add mid to late pick. I could have seen it. Now. No. Giving up a 1st with JD…never.

Not to mention he is a center, i though if the Bruins reactivate Krejci from the dead they have a need at 2C.

Also everyone knows DeBrusk wouldnt mind to leave Boston and this season might be the last hurra for your core.. so i really wouldnt say never. If Boston can play for the playoffs this season and the deadline rolls around, i can see them giving up that pick to slot krejci back at 3C.

Lol, Debrusk rescinded the trade request the minute Cassidy was fired, his only problem with Boston was the coach and Covid quarantine. Both those are gone. He wants to stay.

DK came back to play with Pasta, they are not putting him on 3rd line, besides they have 45-50 pt 3rd line center already in Coyle. Plus they have Zacha who is a center that they will be playing at LW. At 37 DK is obviously not the same player he once was. Despite that he averaged .86ppg the last season he was in Boston, had 20g 26a in 50 games in a low scoring league last year, looked really good at the Worlds. Think he’ll be fine.

I can see them moving Debrusk in the offseason if they don’t extend him for a center. But if they trade a 1st and Debrusk they are getting someone younger and better than Granlund.
