I love Duclair's game but this really isn't close.
Bratt's probably a top 25 winger in the league.

Before this past season season, both players were scoring at pretty similar clips

Bratt is a much better player, comparing apples to tomatoes.

not much evidence, last season bratt put .96 ppg compared to Duclair's .78, Duclair was on a much stronger panthers team aswell.

ok? they were also near the bottom of the league, compared to one of the top teams. I don't understand why you ask for people's opinion and then fight with them. I'm just putting my two bits in.

Because the logic that other people come up with consistently have noticeable flaws and leave out important factors in the ways they assess. It's all about having the most well-rounded debate/discussion, at least it should be. Overall team strength isn't directly proportional to an individual player's success offensively

No it's not that's right, but a team at the tippy top of the standings compared to a team in the bottom five will affect a players production. Duclair is a solid winger, but he isn't what bratt is. Bratt had 3.62 5v5 on ice expected goals this season, most among NHLer's (beating McDavid by 0.01) which is really good. He's crazy good at 5v5.

Fine, but that sample size you're pulling from still isn't that big

it's not but that 5v5 stat is still outrageously impressive, he's been solid in 5v5 for a couple years now.

what? that's a 76 games worth of a sample size.
Going back last year, when Bratt's 5v5 impacts still where in the 94th percentile, you got another 46 games.
Is 122 games of elite 5v5 impacts really not big enough a sample for you?

I should mention that I was being VERY conservative when I billed Bratt as a top 25 winger league wide, top 15 is likely a lot more accurate.
He's stupid good.
