Isles not in rebuild mode yet but If they can’t make the playoffs this year I could see them letting Lou go and starting from scratch.

Seems like EDM fans aren't giving up on the Idea to get picks for there cap dumps. I feel like if that would be case these trades for Foegele and Barrie would already been made.

But I guess that to dream is to hope. Keep hoping

Prior to 2020, the Oilers would have been criticized if they received a 2nd round pick for Tyson Barrie and a 4th for Foegele. Vegas is the poster child for today's NHL. The catastrophic impact of reduced league revenues and the consequential impact on the salary cap have seemingly turned valuable NHL talents into luxuries that teams must now unload at rock bottom prices. Times have changed, it's just taking some people a while to catch up.

NO chance Isles trade Pelech, even if they miss the playoffs. They move out their older players and not their core players.

The ONLY reason for Edmonton to trade Barrie is for cap relief. They aren't taking a worse player on a similar contract back.

The ONLY reason Habs trade for Barrie is to trade Hoffman. They will not pay to take your cap dump.
