BOS
  1. 2024 4th round pick (WPG)
Additional Details:
Wouldn't call Smith a cap dump, but, Bruins need to get compliant, and GMs know this. Under normal circumstances, I would say Smith is a late 2nd-3rd rounder, but these are not normal circumstances.
WPG
  1. Smith, Craig
Additional Details:
Jets need 3rd line offensive production.

Bruins are cap compliant by simply buying Wags and Foligno.

Is this the rumour? Haven't heard that this would be the direction.

There’s no need to til the start of the season.

Why are fans so impatient for things to get done?

People were freaking out daily that 37 and 46 had not signed.

They have to be cap compliant on opening day. Until then they can be 10% over. No hurry to do anything. Options open.

They can bury them for OD, put someone on LTIR, then recall both. Problem solved. Gives them 2 months before they need to do something.

I doubt this is the road they take but it’s an option, they don’t need to be forced into a bad trade.

the correct answer was "if you are good at something never do it for free".
Im not a bruins fan so I could really care less but in all actuality it is not simple to just BO Wagner or Folingo, or trade Reilly or Forbot. And it is not that simple to just put someone on LTIR if they do not have an injury.

I am so happy you are on this website as the voice of reason for Bruins fans and fans of other teams that treat Bruins players in trades like second-hand commodities. 40% of the league is currently over the Cap's upper limit. With Marchand and McAvoy eligible for LTIR to begin the season there is no need to rush to get "cap-compliant."

It is that simple. Mac and Marchand are out with injuries til Xmas and will be LTIR elig.

We buried Wags the entire season last year. Best thing that could happen to Boston is someone claims Foligno when they placed him on waivers to send him down, lol.

I dont really care about all the above mentioned stuff, but as a jets fan I love this deal
jets need some added scoring to the bottom 6 (as mentioned above) and have the cap space

They are actively shopping Smith and there's interest. They can waive Foligno and Wagner, if someone claims either, problem solved. If neither go claimed, bury both in the AHL, problem solved. They can put one of 3 guys on the LTIR and deal with it later.

My guess either Smith gets traded or
Wagner and Foligno get waived, Gryz gets put on the LTIR, reclaim Foligno, when Gryz is ready to go Foligno get's waived again and buried in the AHL.

but do you understand that this is how you ruin morale with an organization? It really isn't that simple because if it was, teams would be doing it all the time. Not saying Folingo or Wagner don't deserve to be sent down because they do with their point production last season. However, if they are being sent down just because of their cap hits and not because of their play then what are you doing here?
