With no plan to resign either, how off would these be?

If your retaining the salary you might have to give a little bit more imo

Winnipeg ownership group would be scared to trade him to the west or in division for that matter, especially for another undersized dman coming off a nasty injury with a ton of term, and a late first. Don’t know the prospect. Scheifele would be a force in a visiting jersey, every time back the jets better keep there heads up for 60 minutes. 2 years of retention is a non starter also for that package

I agree an in division trade isnt too likely unless they see a rebuild coming. If Mild and Avs can trade, anyone can. Girard's contract regardless of his fractured sternum(he's shown its wasnt as bad as initially thought) is a positive value and is a versitile top 4 dman. Ranta has some speed, size and promise. His nack for finding open spaces in the slot is what got him 10 games to start last season.

Jets don’t need more LHD, Ranta looks to be a meh prospect and that is going to be an extremely late first. Jets don’t consider this package

For the Jets and 80% of the league, Girard is a right side dman. His ability to play either side is oddly neglected by other fan basis

Not enough for Sanheim.

Bowers hasnt been great in the AHL and the 1st is low round, a year away.

Sanheim is a youngish top 4 LD, a pretty easy re-sign, and coming off a career year.

Sanhiem wouldn't fit in the coming cap crunch so it's a pure rental. maybe add a conditional pick if he does resign, I just don't see how they could make it work.

Yeah true.

Sanheim will get far more than that. (Bowers as a prospect has nothing near the value he did when drafted, and PHI has a pretty deep prospect system, bowers might not even make the top 10 forwards, but the 1st is a start, even though its VERY late round, but I think it would take the 1st and your best prospect, Olausson probably, and even then I think other teams would beat that offer)

Easy no for Winnipeg. They're not retaining and taking two players thar do nothing for them and then trading him in conference.

Thanks for the input. You're probably right that teams will out bid it. Was curious how other fan bases view it. Havent been sworn at yet so it must be on the right track. I think the avs need will need Olausson in 23-24 more than Sanhiem for a 22-23 tdl cup push. Phi will be interesting to watch. I haven't seen the city so defeated since Bill Burr came to town.

Indeed, and he used to play the point on the powerplay with Jacob Tuba.

There is also some truth to the madness.

Sportsnet actually referred to Blake Wheeler as Mark Wheeler in a broadcast (there is a linesman called Mark Wheeler and Sportsnet only gets around 20 Jets games a year). Separately, Jim Hughson used to skip over the "r" in Trouba and it came across as Tuba. I have also heard Sportsnet pronounce Ehlers (EE-luhrs) as Ellers (EHL-uhrz)

Its a chore listening to the Sportsnet play-by-play (I just mute and listen to the radio call).
