He had a strong showing in the AHL playoffs so hopefully he can get past his previous injury issues and maybe even earn a callup this year. Hope the best for the kid, still has potential to be a top 9 player in the NHL someday

Glad he is getting another year to try and stay healthy and prove he can make a push for an NHL spot. At this point he is a bottom 6 player at best; we can certainly use him once Helm/Cogliano are gone if he can prove his worth.

This is an AHL contract with almost no chance of playing in the NHL. Maybe they will turn things around this year.
