Kerfoot

Team: 2022-23 Ottawa Senators
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 17, 2022
Published: Aug. 17, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Toronto needs to offload Kerfoot and still has to sign Sandin, so Ottawa seems like a good fit. He fits in perfectly in the top 9 and the cost should be very reasonable. Speedster, plays C and the penalty kill and puts up 40-50 points a season. A late 2nd round pick is a good value for him. Should help push them into a playoff spot.

We get it, you hate the Leafs and all their players are overrated. They all score 10-20 less than they actually do and all are declining, have plateaued or are young players who will never get better. We get it.

Never said that. But calling kerfoot isn’t anything special tbh. He’s good but he’s not what you think he is. His ideal role on a contender is probably 3rd line left wing….

His perfect role is the guy who can slide all over the lineup and contribute. Which is exactly what he's done in TO. 50 points doesn't just happen to anyone.

Josh Bailey once had 71 points.

JT has done that to do many forwards. Bailey is also declining, makes too much money and has term left. Which is why you guys dump him all the time.

I actually don’t think he’s a dump lol. But my point here was that kerfoot hasn’t accomplished anything out of the ordinary. He’s just fortunate enough to play with two elite centers which makes ur life a lot easier.

Kerfoot is an actual NHL player who can play anywhere

Logjam, they just traded Connor Brown in a buyers market (for forwards at least) for just a 2nd round pick... They are not going to acquire Kerfoot now. Brown was a coach favorite, a top PK player, produced 50 pts each season mostly at ES + PK, etc

This is nonsensical.

Have you been watching world juniors? Grieg looks very ready lol. And he’s been fantastic for the past few years in the ohl. Maybe you should actually watch these guys play before you say they aren’t ready lmao.

Was it Dave Cameron who said Greig was Canada's best player?

Sens just traded away Connor brown who is better and was in basically the same contract. Why would they turn around and spend the asset they got for him on Kerfoot?

Makes no sense from Ottawa’s side

THIS. Glad someone else saw this right away
