LTIR

Created by: rhenry18
Team: 2022-23 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 18, 2022
Published: Aug. 18, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Canucks fans will complain, but there is a reason that JT hasn’t been moved as the asking price is probably too high. This is pretty fair for both clubs.

Left with 7.1 million in cap, for Max P. to come back after injury and or use for TDL if he is not back. It also gives the Canes to play Gardiner at 4.1 and also give an option to move him at TDL or keep him based on Max’s health.

So you want Miller, with retention, without giving up your 2023 1st, a top prospect, or young impact NHL player? Not even close

Lajoie deserves to be playing in the NHL.
Jamison Rees, high end prospect.

1st & 3rd. Doesn’t matter what year, you will take the picks. With retention yes.

JT is a rental piece.

Those prospects are high end prospects in YOUR eyes

You greatly overvalue your own prospects.

Lajoie will be placed on waivers again this year and again likely pass through. His value right now is virtually nonexistent. Jamison Rees is certainly not a high end prospect, he is a B to B+ prospect that currently projects to be a 3rd liner.

Your offer is really weak

Knowing Vancouver's Christmas-of-the Century wish list for a Miller trade, pretty sure they're going to laugh this one off as a non-starter.

Agree that Miller value is overhyped on here but this offer lacks some quality. The first would at least have to be in 23 and probably need to give up a better prospect.

Rees isn’t the type of prospect you’re going to get value for in a trade. He’s similar to a Tyler Motte type player when he growns into a NHL role. Motte got a mid round pick at a deadline and remains unsigned currently. Rees more valuable to the Canes than in a trade.

JT has not been moved because they have not really tried to move him yet.

Gardiner is not going to be elig for LTIR. Although give him time.

In what world is Ethan Bear more valuable than Rasmus Sandin?

In opposite world, as opposed to this one where this trade doesn't happen.

I mean, there’s barely anything of value in their. There’s no top 4 D, no 2023 first, and no top prospect. Vancouver doesn’t need all three but I imagine they need two

The only thing you have correct is that JT is a rental piece. They will get much better value at the TDL than this, never mind in the off season with retention. Middling prospects/suspects and down the road picks is a ridiculous offer for a player of Millers caliber.

Imagine using ‘LOL’ on here but adding 3 extra O’s. What does that even mean?

Well, it was an obvious overstatement for an understatement. A tad too subtle for you I guess.

Using short hand like LOL then saying something like this is an interesting way of communicating on a post we actually don’t disagree with. Wishing you luck in future posts.
