Based off the costs to dump guys like Patrick Nemeth and Zack Kassian, I think the cost to dump these two will be more tbh

For Dallas? Yes. For Arizona? No. If Dallas has to dump a contract, I don't see them dumping BOTH. They'll pay someone a 3rd round pick to take one of the two, or they'll bury Khudobin in the AHL (like they did last season).

Dont like the 5 years for Jake. Its either 3 to get him to arbitration or 8 to lock him in. He’s not proven enough to get 8. 5 just takes him to UFA
Benn’s off the books in 3 years, so if Jake does arbitrate, we can afford to pay him.

Dont see Robo taking less than 8 on an 8. Compare him to Jack Hughes. He’s at 8x8 and i found that to be a good deal for the potential Hughes has. He wasnt NHL ready when they put him in. Last season he signed his contract and finally played to his potential. Point per game last season.
Robo is 3 points away from being a point per game on his career.

8x8 i consider team friendly for Robo.

Am i the only one thinking Dobby could LTIRETIRE?
Career backup coming back from hip and shoulder surgery at 36. Sure we can bury him again but that just takes a spot away from a young guy in texas

A lot of people treat Faksa like a cap dump. He can still turn it around on a new team or even in Dallas. He was overused by Bowner the passed 2 seasons.
28 with 3 years left at 3.25. It shouldnt be that bad of a trade.

Eh maybe, but if you believe any of the reports coming out of Dallas, it sounds like he's on the ice skating and trying to work his way back. I don't know if he'd be putting in the effort to come back if he was planning on retirement. It's certainly possible that he gives it a go & finds out that his body just can't do it anymore (ala Ben Bishop), but until I hear anything from a reputable source that states that then I'm going to keep in the mindset that he'll return at some point this year

As far as Faksa goes, he is a cap dump right now. His offense is abysmal (to be expected. I don't judge him on his offense), but the area of his game that he was signed for was his defense and that has taken an absolute nosedive since he signed his contract extension with Dallas, all while playing for extremely defensive-minded coaches. The only area of his game that he is currently even above average at is the faceoff dots (where he excels). In this cap environment, with his lack of production, and with the term remaining on his contract the Stars are going to have to pay a mid round pick MINIMUM to get a team to take his full contract from the Stars.

I havnt kept up with Dobby news much.
I thought when they signed Wedgie that someone was saying Dobby might only be ready for december.
Could of been just someone talking out of his ass.

Faksa im 50-50 on. Ide like to see him bounce back in Dallas. But i would also like to use his cap space for something else. Wouldnt mind shipping a 3rd to move him.
I think Bowner was trying to get too much out of him and it ruined him a bit. Offensive zone faceoff and they send Faksa’s line out( i get the idea that he’s good at faceoffs, we win the draw but no ones good enough to put it in the net, lol) . Seen Faksa playing OT when we werent even killing a penalty.
The coaching change should help Faksa and a few others find their way.
