Substitute Jakob Moverare for Sean Durzi and I can see Los Angeles doing this if the picks are reversed (2024 first and 2023 third).

Chychrun is pretty overrated tbh. That’s a lot to give up. Iafallo can rebound to a 20 Goal guy. Durzi has a lot of potential and you know that as well. Sure we have too many RD but I think Durzi should be a keeper. Turcotte is not gonna be a 30 goal scorer but he can be a 40-50 Point player if the future if he can stay healthy. With the 1st round pick we can also potentially draft a surprise player. Like Kaliyev for example.

I agree with almost everything you say here. I wouldn't call Chychrun "over-rated" but I would certainly say "his value is at an all-time high." I would never trade Durzi and Turcotte in the same package, let alone with Iafallo. I don't mind paying a premium as long as the first-rounder isn't this year's. To me, Iafallo, Turcotte, Moverare and our 2024 first is a huge package and upon mature reflection, I'd amend my previous counter to take out the third entirely.

You’re right, he’s not overrated but I just think people are offering insane packages for Chychrun. I guess with his contract, age, and demand.. it might make sense. But I just don’t believe Rob Blake would give up a decent forward, decent defense, too prospect, and a first round just to improve LD. But the Iafallo, Turcotte, Moverare and a 2024 1st would be a fair trade.

I went into a little more in my LAK mock. Good points have been made but imo Iafallo's value in this trade is 0 as he offers nothing to ARZ and is simply needed to make the cap work. I used the 2023 first as it will probably be lower than 2024 since Kopi, Doughty, Quick are on the wrong side of 30 (and Kopi is a UFA). I don't see Durzi having a future in LA with Doughty, Roy and Clarke so included him while his value is high. Though I just realized I forgot to sign him in ARZ and he definitely should be in the show this year. Seeing the ask for Chychrun and that other teams such as OTT are in the mix I think Turcotte and the first need to be included for ARZ to even listen.

Agree that Turcotte and a first-round draft pick have to be in any Chychrun deal.

You're underestimating Iafallo's value to Arizona because (1) he'd be the Coyotes' best defensive forward before even lacing up his skates, (2) his three-year term matches Arizona's development timeline pretty well, and (3) he'd be the best LW on the team not named Crouse, and might even be better than Crouse. (Note that their point totals over the last three years are 34/47/72 for Crouse and 37/67/110 for Iafallo.)

Disagree that Durzi's future in LA isn't bright -- Matt Roy's contract is up in two seasons and you never know what's going to happen when a good RhD hits free agency. And there's nothing to say that they can't put him on the left in a pinch. We spent an appreciable time last season without 3 of our top 4 defensemen and still made the playoffs.

Los Angeles traded away their 2022 first-round pick so given the anticipated strength of the 2023 draft pool, I don't see the Kings doing that two years in a row. If that costs us Chychrun, so be it.

Can't disagree with much you've said, especially the points around Durzi and the first. I'm a fan of Roy and think he would better for LA than Durzi since Doughty and Clarke fill the same role and are better at it but its nitpicking. I almost see Iafallo's value to ARZ as a negative since he is a productive NHL player and his contract will be expired by the time they are ready. Time will tell what happens but I really hope LA gets Chychrun.
