Agree on the retaining salary part but I feel like this is a pretty fair offer considering what Bjorkstrand and Patches went for. Islanders may need to add a prospect maybe Iskahov or Wilde

If I’m Lou, I’d do this. It looks fair enough. My question is this: is St. Louis not looking to compete next year? I feel like even if Tank moves on, a trade like this would imply you’re not looking to contend this year.

But those were cap dumps lol
Vt is not unlike Bailey who is. So there is a big difference and isn’t really fair at all
Also Veg and CBY aren’t contenders like STL

Well Scandella and Bailey are both cap dumps but Bailey is a better player so they’re pretty even value wise then it’s Beau and a 2nd for Tarasenko which idk if I’d do Beau is a 25 year old top 6 winger who’s on a team friendly deal and has 60 point upside though Tarasenko is very solid he’s a 31 year old expiring UFA I don’t think I’d take this as an islanders fan. But on the other hand if the islanders did this trade then signed Milano after I could
be interested

Come on Vegas is a contender yea the goalie situation is rocky but the oilers made the WCF with Smith and Koskinen. They also had the most men lost to injuries and Stone and Eichel were recovering from injuries too. Cassidy is an amazing coach they are a playoff team. A contender too don't count them out

The Blues are not trading Tarasenko to add cap. Obviously. Not this season and definitely no deal that adds cap to next season. Bailey is a non starter. Plus he's pass first, which is not needed.
