Or have the rule around RFA signing in season changed, because I'm 99% sure that Nylander's deal was signed on the last day possible for him to be eligible to play that season. If you just meant Dubas is willing to wait, then yeah Nylander proved that.
Edit: found a 2020 article stating "In normal years, RFA’s that do not sign by December 1 are no longer eligible to play in that season."
