I think you're an anomaly here.

No way this team is better than Tampa and Toronto, they're fighting with Boston and Detroit for third in the Atlantic.

The Metro likely takes up the two wild card spots: Carolina, NYR, Washington, Pittsburgh and potentially NYI all take the bacon. It's either third in the Atlantic or bust.

I’m not trying to be a hater , but really not a fan of the moves they’ve done . They went really top heavy . If one Of Barkov, Ekblad or Tkachuk gets injured, yikes

To say that WSH and NYI are better than FLA seems foolish. The Isles don't have nearly the star power the Panthers have and without A-level coaching (cough, Trotz), they're almost a bottom-feeder. And I doubt Kuemper can carry the Caps once their old team runs out of gas by the all-star break again.

And in terms of their division, Detroit's defense is even shakier than the Panthers' and most likely means Husso won't be having a year like he had last season. And Boston? Marchand and McAvoy are going to be out until at least December, and without them (Grzelcyk, too for some time) their roster looks... inadequate

Yeah, but that's a big if and could be said of multiple playoff teams. What if McDavid, Kaprizov, or Shesterkin gets injured?

Inadequate describes the Panthers roster. Top heavy, thin defence. Not a playoff team unless more moves are coming.

Lmfao the islanders stink and we’re far better than Boston and goddamn Detroit we will battle with Toronto and easily be 2nd or 3rd in the pacific

Each of those teams is deeper than Florida. Minnesota's highest-paid player makes like 9millionAAV. Florida has two at 10, one at 9.5, and one at 7.5

Edmonton has Draisaitl to step up if McDavid is hurt

Another issue is what if at the deadline the panthers are in the race and close with 3-4 teams and all those teams have the assets to make deadline moves. What are the panthers gonna do with no picks and only a couple prospects that they can’t afford to move (Samoskevich, Denisenko, Benning)

So a very good roster aside from one third pair dman??? Ok lol

No cap space - they'll have to move someone to activate Duclair when he's healthy in January. Then they have no cap space at the deadline.

My thought process is okay Barkov and Tkachuk are gonna be a great 1-2 punch. But Huberdeau got 115pts on the 2nd line , carrying that line. Now your 2nd line is gonna be a bit above average. Balcers and White are downgrades from Marchment and Duclair is out for months . They lost Weegar and I’m not a big believer in Montour or Carlsson . Forsling is good but if that defence struggles and/or Bob/Knight , yikes

Minnesota also has 15M in dead cap, so I'm not sure where you're going with that. And Minnesota, too, has a player making 7,5M

And without McDavid, the Oilers' 2nd line would be RNH-McLeod-Yamamoto. Yaiks!

Not sure if you’re blind or trolling but our Forwards are perfectly fine depth wise

AB, CV, MT, AD, SB, SR, AL Are 7 good players

Cousins, White, Balcers, Hornqvist, Lomberg are all at least average and they’re physical players who play good defense and can play a depth role very nicely and we’ve still got Denisenko and Levtchi who are unknowns and could be difference makers

D wise isn’t the best sure but we’ve got 3 good players there and personally I think Carlsson will take a step as he was very good last season and Gudas is a perfectly capable 3rd pair guy

Huberdeau also is a play driver. Tkachuk and Barkov are not play drivers. Tkachuk benefitted from playing with two play drivers in Johnny and Lindholm. He doesn't have that in Florida.

I think you're forgetting Kane and 50 goal scorer Leon Draisaitl on that second line, buddy

Lines aren’t set in stone, Tkachuk will play with the 2nd line too and Balcers will be very similar to what Marchment gave us lmao

You could think about getting Duclair back as a deadline reinforcement. That's adding yet another 30-goal guy

Except Balcers had 23 points last year - Marchment had 47 in 10 less games

Exactly . Huberdeau was driving the 2nd line. They don’t have that this year. Bennett and Duclair will certainly be worse without him
