OK, trying this again...(not sure why the previous one was deleted).
This is for the next, regularly scheduled, WJC in Dec/Jan.
I expanded the list of possible names here (in list below). Line-up is made of players making the team.
Two things that stuck out to me:
-- Defense could use a little more oomf.
-- There could be a lot of OHL considered here

The biggest omission for me is James Stefan, 79 points in 68 WHL games last season. He won’t make the team, but at least a mention so doesn’t show an east coast bias. The WHL never gets any love from the US, but it sure does from the Canadians.

Most of the guys on this list have at some point participated in US development camps (from U15 to junior) and as far as I know, Stefan hasn’t been invited to one yet.
And agree on WHL players not getting the love with USA Hockey. The irony is that Portland makes it a routine to stockpile the rights for USNTDP players, none of which ever play there.

Hanas was at 15,16 and 17 camp and made the Hilinka team but never got a shot at the world jr team. Stefan will likely be the best us player in the WHL and doesn’t even get a look at the world jr team.
As for Portland, they do have a lot of US players, I saw a chart of us players per team and Portland has always had one of the highest amount of players.
