      Interesting offer with buffalo. Botterill seems to like girgensons so dont think his inclusion works

      Ron Hextall would be run out of town if he ever took that deal. Simmonds is one of the most valuable contracts in the NHL, so you'd have to add significant value to get him.

      Yeah, like I said in the explanation, Caps would probably have to add something to the deal. Or you could exchange Simmonds for Schenn.

      No way jersey is giving up 3 picks for Connolly, and the "rights" for 2 guys that are going to wait for UFA regardless. Maybe they'd do 1 4th for Connolly

      I honestly wouldn't mind the trade if it was Schenn involved, but I still think the Flyers would need more since the trade is still heavily favored in WSH's favor. Although a Provorov/Carlson pairing for the next 5-7 years sounds really enticing to me. I know Simmer wouldn't be the one being moved though. Good start.
