I don’t like the idea Kerfoot is a dump. I feel like at the very least someone like Detroit should trade a fourth for him.

Red Wings have too many forwards already. No need for Kerfoot. Plus Fabbri should be returning from his latest knee surgery in January. Hopefully.

Is there any chance a tsunami will hit Vancouver and destroy the entire city? Asking for a friend who is really annoyed by unfair ACGM’s.

It’s not even a Canucks fan

Canucks wouldn't trade a struggling young forward with upside for a rental 3C

Lol, I was more looking for input in the islanders trade. I just swapped kerfoot and hoglander to fill the gap at 3c.

You are correct islanders fans would not like it. Having a 50 point d-man locked up for 3 years at 4 million is amazing. And Kerfoot you are going to have to pay to dump or take FC. Not that he does not have value, he SHOULD have value. But given the leafs cap crunch you will need to pay to offload him or take FC

Leafs can ice a 20 man squad right now. Same thing they did last season. But the the obligatory kerfoot trade isn't really part of the agm.

Doesn’t even work cap wise.

It should, but I just did a rough estimate off of memory. Isles are at 3.5m left, 4m out 7.6m in but two roster spots.

It's just not happening, the teams line up horribly. A JT Miller rental and Tyler Myers at 2x$5M isn't worth giving up a 22 year old RHD who just put up 51 points last season. If RHD is what Vancouver wants out of a Miller trade, then they're gonna have to look elsewhere - the Isles would either be overpaying by sending Pulock or Dobson, or not having enough of they send a package headlined by Scott Mayfield or any of their AHL guys. They just don't have enough depth at RHD to fill that need for the Canucks.

The reason I was looking for Canucks fans input is simple. When has Lou ever done anything suggested in an islanders fan agm here? He is a bad gm. Used to be great but has lost his marbles.

Yes, because none of them read the description.

You saying in advance that Isles fans won't like it doesn't mean we're not going to mock your ridiculous trade.

It's pretty easy to predict Lou's moves - if you've actually payed attention to how Lou operates over his career, he doesn't trade "his guys". There's no path to acquiring Dobson for the Canucks using jT Miller, which is why this proposal makes no sense.

Here's the thing though: he *never* makes this type of trade. Look back over his 35 years of being a GM - any time he's swung a deal for a top flight player, he's traded picks and prospects. You'd have to go back to the Vladimir Malakhov trade to find a time when he flipped out an under-24 D for a veteran rental, and even then he moved out a 23 year old Sheldon Souray after he had put up 26 points over 182 GP in 3 seasons as a Devil.

Regardless of how you feel about the guy as GM, it doesn't make a ton of sense to say "well he's lost his marbles" as justification for going completely against type.

I will be glad when these ridiculous Kerfoot to Vancouver offers stop.

Neither one of these trades will happen.

He's flipping a young D for two veterans. Time to put in the Lou goggles. Lou re signs Miller and most likely overpays myers when his deal expires.

Lou has no issue moving out young talented Dmen and loves his vets.

Is this a trade you and I would make if we ran the islanders? No! But you can't claim to know what's going on in Lou's mind unless you're typing replies from a mental facility.

Given what patches went for and Bjorkstrand. Both are whom are better players who knows. Look at Fleury last year. Teams know the leafs need to shed cap. With that being said Kerfoot should have value but if anyone gets moved it might be Holl who for some reason has a NTC so who knows if he waives it

1. Patches was injured and needs surgery
2. Leafs aren't over the cap
3. Vegas was nearly 20m over the cap coming into the offseason.

its incredible how out of touch you are regarding Lou lol - Lou never trades his own top draft picks, too big of an ego.

It's just a lesson in futility. Lou has a track record of doing not one thing listed in an islanders fan agm. Would he do this trade? Who knows. I was wondering if Vancouver fans would.

It will never happen so whether I would or not does not matter. To get Dobson Canucks would need to offer Podkolzin ,a first , and another top piece that would really hurt the future of the Canucks. It is not going to happen so it is pointless.

I can't claim to know what's going on in his mind, true (neither can you FWIW), but for a guy that's been a GM since 1987, I sure as hell can look at a *ton* of trades that he's made in the past. And, like I said, he never has moved a player like Dobson for veteran help. He moves 1sts and prospects all the time, sure, but he doesn't move young roster players like Dobson. The only trade in his history that lines up with what you're saying is when he was forced to move Devon Toews because of the flat cap during the beginning of the pandemic - an outlier situation that literally has no bearing on what he'd give up for JT Miller.

Perhaps the reason Islanders fans are coming at you (despite the description) is that we have at least a month's worth of ACGMs telling us that, yes, emphatically yes, Vancouver fans would be very happy to trade JT Miller for Noah Dobson. If they can get rid of a 32 year old Tyler Myers while they're at it, all the better!

Says the fan of the team that gave marner 6 years and matthews 5 walking them straight to UFA and didnt even get a discount bc of it while lou has his entire d core for less than those 2 with the entire top 4 on team friendly aavs that also are either 8 year deals or RFA expiry. Lou has been in NYI 4 years and we've won 6 playoff series while TOR has 0. He hasnt lost his marbles youre just a bit resentful that he wasnt good with TOR and try to make him out to be the worst gm.

20 man roster makes them compliant. The leafs started last season with a 20 man roster and there are plenty of loopholes in the cba to make that manageable.

Isles fans are, dementia Lou is licking his chomps. Although I do admit it should be pulock over Dobson. Someone pointed out that Lou us too pompous to trade away a top player he drafts and I agree.
