I would try and get a sens first. But this team does make the playoffs as a wild card team. Goaltending is going to break this team tho

1. Severson is a great d-man. He’s worth more than Brannstrom a prospect and a 2nd.
2. Don’t see why Winnipeg trades a good prospect.
3. Vegas confirmed that they won’t be trading for goaltender.
4. They just signed Siegenthaler to a long term extension. They won’t be trading him.

Why would WPG do this…What’s in it for us?

Vesalanien isn't a good prospect. Agree with everything else tho.

A serviceable middle 6 forward, which you desperately need.

Says who?
Vesalainen is a serviceable middle 6 forward.
Jets need RW and RHD

Well if that 2nd gets switched to a 1st , then Ottawa doesn’t do it. Brannstrom + Jarventie + 2023 1st is way too much for 1 year of Severson

Very true Brannstrom/JBD would have to be the main piece. But I forgot Severson had only 1 year

Jets do this in a heart beat. Ves won't play for the Jets again, and its a toss up if he'll ever get another NHL contract. No idea what people are smoking around here. He wasn't even that good in the A.

Now why NJ would do that, that's another question lol feel like you could get more than that from a Johnsson trade

Johnsson likely has the Jets on his 10-team "no" list.

Vesalainen isn't playing in the NHL this year. You'd think you'd know that huh?

Not a fan of the major moves and the minor ones aren't realistic. Why is Vesalainen on the roster over Holtz, Zetterlund, Foote, and Thompson? Why is Miles Hip Injury in the top 9? Why did you trade our starting goalie only to start Vanecek? Why did you sign Brannstrom and Hague to play over Smith, Bahl, Walsh, or even Okhotiuk?

Way too much for Chychrun. Devils would be much better off keep Siegenthaler, who is better defensively. Not to mention the top prospect and picks.

Vesalainen has left NA hockey and is under contract for 2022-23.

I think you're being too generous with OTT and ARIZ.

I'd say stick to your own team. Too many changes here.

Is this a joke? A servicable player who can contribute in Johnson vs Vesalainen who hasn't showed anything at all pretty much and who will play in Europe this upcoming season.

Not the right pieces for Severson.
Defensive pipeline is crowded as is with Bahl, Walsh, Okhotiuk all looking to make the NHL this season and Hughes and Nemec the next season. So no need for Brännström.
While I wouldn't mind keeping Severson for the year as a self-rental, I'd love a hockey trade with someone like Puljujärvi or Garland coming back to the Devils.
Or if the Devils are out of the playoffs come TDL, they should be looking at 2023 1st rd draft picks ahead of defensive prospects and 2nds that they don't have a need for.

Vesalainen doesn't have any value anymore, not giving up an offensively gifted middle sixer in Johnsson for him.

I don't think Vegas does trade as with Lehner and Weber sitting the season out they'll have more than enough room to sign Hague.

This is a ridiculous overpayment for Chychrun.
I get that you may not have watched a lot of the Devils lately but I would not trade Siegenthaler in a one for one swap with Chycrun.
Siegenthaler has emerged as one of the league's elite defensive defensemen and is part of the Devils long term core by now.
No way.

Järventie + 2023 1st for Severson makes sense to me closer to TDL, if Ottawa or competing for the playoffs and the Devils aren't.
Could Dorion go for that?
