Carolina easily says no, they aren’t trading Necas. Winnipeg also declines, it’s just a cap dump, you won’t get anything in return. Islanders say yes and file it before you can think twice, that’s an awful trade for Vancouver

1. Murphy has a NTC so he won’t be moved unless he waifs it.
2. Raddysh is a very important peice for Chicago and will most likely be their through their rebuild.
3. It’s impossible to get rid of Ferland now.
4. Winnipeg gives up a prospect and a few picks for a Dickinson who is not good and Pearson who’s contract is most likely not make able anymore.
5. If a Miller trade happens I see it looking like this. A first and a second rounder. A solid prospect or a roster player. And possibly an additional 6th since he just put up 99 PTS.
6. Pathetic. Garland is better than all those player combined.

Canes tell you to pound sand. You're not getting Necas or a 1st for a rental from Carolina. Try the Islanders. We do not want him. He's not a fit.

Isles decline, not worth giving up a 1st to swap Bailey for Garland who score at a very similar rate and then add in Casey on top of that.

I think Garland is the better player. He’s just not the top line winger the isles need. They need that pick more than they need Garland.

I don’t the isles r moving a first in the best Draft since 2015 for Connor Garland. Especially given the fact they haven’t had made a selection in the first round since 2019.

It was a second originally. A first is more fair Id say. There needs to be a first to get Garland

-Neither player really fits the Hawks rebuild timeline, but Murphy is part of the team's leadership (for whatever that's worth) and younger so I think Chicago hangs on to him and flips him out later in his contract's life for something that fits whatever KD's vision is.

-Dickinson's contract is an albatross. I think Winnipeg would offer that package for Pearson, but adding Dickinson means Vancouver has to add something more.

-Deferring to Canes fans here - I think it's a bit much to get a guy like Necas *and* a first for rental player as well. I think if you drop Necas the price becomes a little more palatable, but I think at this point you need to set your sights lower on that return (until the TDL frenzy at least).

-I like Garland as a fit for the Isles, but if you're including Bailey here to raise the pick to a 1st, I'd just as soon keep swap him out for something else and a lower pick. Cizikas is most likely off the table, though - I know he doesn't have an NTC, but I can't imagine that he passes up the rumored 3x$5M from Seattle last year to sign 6x$2.5M with the Isles without some reassurance that he's sticking around for the majority of that deal.

If Vancouver is taking back salary they can probably get that. If not then the deal will look like the Bjorkstrand deal. At the end of the day that Garland for Bailey swap is a thinly veiled attempt to acquire a draft pick Garland isn’t worth in a very deep draft class. There is no reason for Ny to take that risk for a second line right winger.

Bailey has negative value but the Canucks just gave Mikheyev 4.75 over the next four years…. Welcome to the NHL I guess lol

Islanders say no I would like Garland and value is there but Cizkas is retiring an islander and while Garland is worth a first it is not worth it in this draft class
