Canucks want a RHD that can play with Hughes, so ideally someone that can actually play defense. Barrie might be the worst dman in his own zone in the league

I know we aren’t getting Dobson. We need something one capable in their own zone. Ideally someone who can move the puck but that’s not the important thing. We need someone that can let Quinn Hughes be Quinn Hughes, and Barrie ain’t it

Likely Severson is capable in his own end. And, if you can’t find someone capable in their own end, then you get futures and players who will be good in their own end
