Also give Seattle the option to take Calgary's 2023 1st round pick instead of Zary if they'd prefer that.

No Retention on Lucic and SEA sends a late 6th/7th RD Pick or Waivers Exempt Prospect and I'd make that deal

Zary is worth more than next year's first but most fans will just look at his stats see low numbers last year think he's not worth a first and say it should be a first instead of him so I put the option in.

What many who aren't hardcore Flames fans don't realize is Zary was looking good in Flames training camp last year until he broke his ankle blocking a shot in a preseason game. That messed up his whole year, he missed a lot of games at the start of the season then got stuck in a bottom 6 role when he came back and took a while to get going again. He was real good on the top line with Stockton at the end of the year before that too with 7 points in 9 games (3G 4A).
