I know. I was just hoping there was a chance he'd come back to Pittsburgh for one last dance. I think he scores 20G+ playing next to Eichel and the PP.

Actually it was him and Malkin

And thats why Pitt and Kessel would never happen again unless Malkin left which ironically almost happened this offseason

No, there was nothing like at all. There were even rumors when the issues signing Malkin were going on that they may try to sign Phil as means to make Malkin want to stay.

Yeah, most likely, but he will be on the 1st PP without a doubt. Plus, we don't know what Stone is gonna be like when he comes back.

i believe it was more than just Malkin, he was pushed out of TOR for butting heads with another player as well. that’s why a 1year is ideal, limits liability. feel Oilers are going to regret 2 years of Kanes deal for the same thing!

well rumors are rumors. we never really know the full facts cause teams are fairly secretive about in house issues.

Sullivan was also involved.

Kessel in Toronto is more complicated. The final straw came when he pissed off someone in leafs management (believe it was Lou) to the point where he went to Dubas and said trade his ass im done and the rest is history. And ironically Lou

As for Kane and the Oilers the whole thing is so complicated thanks to the NHL taking to long with his old deal hearing. As what if the arb person reinstates that 7mill deal then what. And even if not I could see Kane after a year pissing off one of the big 2 so badly that locker-room could sour up fast and become a nightmare

if history is any clue he’s got 2 to 2 1/2 years before a blowup. he gets around 3 years before everything goes south.

Actually, I think it was Malkin's fist and Kessel's head (nose to be particular) that did the butting.
