What should avs fans know about Harris? He just seems like a run of the mill undersized dman.

A probable 5th D on a good team in the future. I would say he's a well rounded player, maybe like a lesser girard.

Avs have no need. Behrens is a more skilled version of Harris. Make it Dvorak and Gulhe for Girard and drop the extra pieces.

Guhle has more value than girard

It will be years before that happens, and thats an if still. I wouldn't do Girard for Guhle 1 for 1. Guhle is likely heading for the ahl and down the road should have a good 3/4 deployment in the nhl. Girard would be your top dman.

Definitely not. Girard is a borderline top pair dman that can play both sides and has a great contract. Guhle hasn’t even played an NHL game yet

As of now, Guhle is our projected top LD. Hutson could probably claim that spot sooner than later, but Guhle is our #1 or #2 D for the future (Barron is the other top D)

girard for dvorak trades need to stop, its an bad trade, its not going to happen. Girard is the superior player, Dvorak is a middle 6 Centre....montreal fans arent going to give up the assets to balance out the value of Girard to Dvorak.

Avs dont need to trade Girard to get Dvorak, hes not that level of player so why would the avs ever be interested in this.

Its a not 1 for 1, so its not a direct Girard for Dvorak trade. Its a Dvorak+ for Girard, with a decent + as well

thats why I said montreal fans wont give up the value to actually get Girard. These Harris, Norlinder, draft picks with Dvorak dont make up the value.

Can we stop trading away Dvorak already? MTL has been trash at C forever and we finally have a somewhat improved list of C. Dvorak can also play LW. A C who can play wing is more valuable to this team than a W who can't play C.

I'd much rather fill the team with C/LW & C/RW than all the LW/RW players. Adds to the versatility and right now that is basically the only thing going for this roster.

Dvorak > Dadanov, Drouin, Hoffman, Armia, etc. Not saying we'll get a lights out return for anyone, but for the love of all things hockey, can we focus on moving out the wingers before moving out the guys who can play C & W???

Personally wouldn't do Dvorak for Girard straight up. With Matheson, Edmundson and prospects Habs have no need for Girard so why even trade for him.

Habs have a bunch of centers, let the season play out a bit,see how everyone is under MSL and then make a deal. By that point Dvorak likely commands a 1st at some point in the season and that will be a better return for their future then Girard

Even doe this trade won't happen: High IQ defender always able to slip off his coverage, walks the blue line effectively but doesn't possess a great array of shots. Will do the good defensive plays to get the puck out of dangerous zones but with his size comes limitation around the net. Good puck moving to get out of his Dzone, can either send a crisp pass or move the puck up so that'll keep some he'll always be unpredictable on his exits (Good). All around a boring yet effective defender that most won't see, I think he should become a fine number 4 option at some point in his career. (Think Kulak kinda ceiling)

Yes, all this, with the advantage that he'll probably be an effective if unexciting player that will cost less than Girard, so could be a good player to mix into a team that has a lot of valuable but expensive star talent to hold onto.
