Winnipeg is definitely not the team to trade Holl too...Kerfoot on the other hand I would be all over for a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Kerfoot for a 2nd? Holl for a 3rd? My brother in Christ! Bjorkstrand just got a 3rd and a 6th!

Typical Toronto trade. Won't happen, but Leafs fans will try to convince you otherwise

-Kerfoot isn't worth a second when every team in the league knows you can't field a full roster with him on it - you could nix that ZAR signing and throw Anderson & Benn on the Marlies and still be about $300K over the cap with Kerfoot on the roster, so teams aren't going to go out of their way to help you. I could see Minnesota having some interest in Kerfoot as a middle-6 upgrade over the Brandon Duhaimes of the world, but they're not going to give up a premium asset to help you out of your jam.

-Same goes for Holl, especially if Winnipeg is the destination. Holl is a perfectly serviceable 6/7th D who makes a little more than you'd want to pay someone in that position, but Winnipeg is already paying $14.825M to their right side of Pionk/Schmidt/DeMelo. They're one of the last teams that should be adding a player with a sizable cap hit to their D, and definitely not at the cost of a 3rd. Someone will see Holl as an upgrade over whatever they have on their team, sure, but they're going to give up a 4th/5th at best.

Guys have already said it but way too much coming back to help a team get under the cap.
Mini could use Kerfoot but most likely for a 3rd maybe 4th
Jets need to move out vet D for young D, not add a bottom paring guy
