Description
Byram is very good and while I'm not comparing him to dach i will mention to remember what dach costed into consideration, sometimes team make moves because they have to... he's a very talented young player but i think cap space is hard to come by, also if avs want to clear more cap and sned an expiring contract I'll take it as well, they can't keep both girard and byram and I would think they'd rather keep girard, also i think harris could replace him in the lineup for the role he had during the regular season (i know he toke his game to a new level during the playoffs)

Should include Newhook too. Prob can't afford him either. They can't even afford the good chicken fingers in Ball arena.

I dont think the Avs will trade Byram, when they will be contending again this season and Byram has a low cap hit. If they trade him, because of cap issues, its gonna be next year. Not now, I think its unlikely.

Getting dvorak with 40% retaind for 3 years might help convince them

I posted this on another thread but I'll post it here too:

Can we stop trading away Dvorak already? MTL has been trash at C forever and we finally have a somewhat improved list of C. Dvorak can also play LW. A C who can play wing is more valuable to this team than a W who can't play C.

I'd much rather fill the team with C/LW & C/RW than all the LW/RW players. Adds to the versatility and right now that is basically the only thing going for this roster.

Dvorak > Dadanov, Drouin, Hoffman, Armia, etc. Not saying we'll get a lights out return for anyone, but for the love of all things hockey, can we focus on moving out the wingers before moving out the guys who can play C & W???

Okay rant over, thanks for reading.

Maybe the unprotected Montreal 2023 1st and Guhle, as part of the package, might help convince them.

Ironically, may not be the correct word, Nashville doesn't have the cap space for Hoffman.

That's 6M going directly into mac next contract 6.3 + 6 is what's a 5-6 year contract will look like.
Newhook will ask for 4m and byram 4 as well that's a lot of cap

Sakic and Company will figure it out. Cap will likely go up by a mil at least. If need be Girard will be traded.

I really thought you were trolling with this proposal but I guess you aren't after all
Yes Byram will probably get what Dobson got, but Newhook isnt even getting 3M
EJ Mack 12.3M + Compher 3.5M + Helm and Cogliano 1.25M are off the book
Girard or Toews would be trade before Byram if needed
That's a bad offer for Byram, I agree a guy like Caufield would do it but no way MTL does that

Dvorak is valuable and has value, that's why he's the one getting traded
Drouin Hoffman Gallagher Dadonov Armia Byron are all cap dumps

What’s crazy is thinking you’d get Byram for this joke of an offer. Apart from Caufield, Slafkovsky, or the Habs unprotected 2023 1st there’s nothing they could offer that the Avs would consider
