He's still an RFA... in what scenario would there be no hope in re-signing Bratt? Terrible trade either way.

I would keep Bratt over a few months of JT Miller even if he comes with an extension
Canucks would be foolish to say no

If you are concerned about Bratt leaving, I sure hope you're concerned about Miller walking

Trade is bad for the Devils

Yall are insane NJ is going to have to lose a D prospect the pool is loaded rn with potential stars of Hughes, Nemec. Plus Walsh, Bahl Okhotiuk. Bahl fits the needs of Vancouver.
Sources say there is a bad taste between Bratt Agent and NJ so if your NJ and the writing is on the wall, in what world does NJ not say okay well if Miller will agree to an extension, here ya go.

A Scenerio where he has a average season and Management doesn't want to lock him up long term at the price he wants and he wants out. Happened in Calgary what's stopping it from happening again?

A 24 year old Ppg rfa for a guy in his 30s with an aging bad contract. Please please get off the website if you genuinely think that the devs would do Bratt for Miller one for one, even with a Miller extension and unsigned rfa Bratt.

Ive seen your AGM don't even start plus idk what you are talking about the guy is 29. All I'm saying is if the writing is on the wall from management why don't you take a crack at signing on of the top wingers. Miller can keep up with hughes and has the size to create space with him.

We’ll see next year. Stop talking before anything happens. Nobody in their right mind accepts that trade from a devils side

Why would you think Bratt is going to have an average season?
He's a top 20 winger in the NHL, he's ridiculously good.
Fitzgerald couldn't lock him up to a 7m+ contract this off season due to the cap, but with all the guys coming off the books after 22-23 Bratt will finally be extended long-term.

Anyway, if Bratt were traded for JT the Canucks would be the team adding, not the Devils.
