What has Yzerman done? Any GM can overpay for free agents he gave out a long term contract to Chiarot…. Which isn’t going to fix their horrible defense.

Yeah he built Tampa didn’t win anything though. Where the Red wings have picked you are supposed to draft well.

Dude thanks to Yzerman Tampa won back to back cups. And he's making Detroit more competitive. I don't see Buffalo doing much this year. They will finish 7th just barely above Montreal.

Sider was a huge reach when he took him, and is brilliant for it, he left before tampa won because his heart is with the wings

Ever hear of Raymond and Seider? Two grand slams right there. Yzerman has been drafting very well with Detroit so far. And will only get better.

Don't they have Cossa in the system too who is going to be a fantastic goalie

BriseBois trade deadline acquisitions was ultimately why Tampa won 2 in a row. Sabres had 20 more points than Montreal, and finished ahead of both Ottawa and Detroit. Detroit and Buffalo will both be 80 point teams this year. Sabres will feel better about their season though.

Yup, He's probably at least 3 years away from the NHL, But i still like our odds better than Buffalo's.

Hopefully we meet in the conference finals. That happens if we get past Carolina and you guys get a stud out of either Sammy or Murray

Like I said when you have the 6th&5th pick in the draft you are supposed to draft well. He spent money on 2-3 line players and gave out a long term contract to Ben Chiarot. Let’s see if they can pass the Sabres in the standings first before we call Yzerman the best GM.

Yzerman still put the pieces together to make Tampa back to back cup winners. BriseBois did very little.

Yeah Buffalo finished 1 point ahead of us but we still won the series 3-0 against them.

I agree that Buffalo, Detroit and Ottawa will be the up and coming teams in the Atlantic in the next 3-4 years as others will drop like Boston, I think Florida wont be as good losing Weegar their D is definitely going to be worse.

If you're banking on Anderson and Comrie giving you 80 points this season, You're sorely going to be disappointed.

Well they had 75 when they didn’t have Tuch for the first 30 games of the season, Olofsson going on a weird 30 game goalless drought, Anderson missing over 2 months with an injury. Plus having a full year of Power and Quinn I think it’s pretty easy to assume they get 80 points.
