Miller doesn’t sign that. Can’t sign Weegar for 8 years, and could see him getting more than that

Miller is looking for a contract in the 50s this is one hits 60, Doubt he wouldn't sign it, Weeger might be a bit more but can't see it being that much more

Don't think we have really been shopping him until this year but haven't found a good enough return for him, for better or for worse he is an important piece for our blueline right now, doesn't make sense to trade him unless you have a clear upgrade

6ft6 top 4 RHD, that can play 20 minutes a night is worth a 3rd but ok

Does play 20 minutes a not isn't the same as should play 20 minutes a night. This past season was basically the only time in his career he was okay defensively (not good. Okay) in a full season. He's a boat anchor, as a top 4 regular, and should beuntouchable at 6mil.

Look at the cap crunch Ottawa will be under next year and tell me how you justify 6mil on a tall schmuck of a defensive Dman. Even if was a straight swap of Myers for Zaitsev, it's probably enough to lose them the room to keep Shane Pinto

You guys literally just paid a 3rd for Hamonic and Myers is twice the defensemen he is, Ottawa is going to need to add a top 4 RHD they are going to find the cap space some where even if it's not for Myers

They do need a top 4 d, but they need one who A) actually should be a regular top 4 D, and B) is worth the money they pay him. Myers is neither. Nobody is coming to Vancouver to find a top 4 RD

Myers is a #4 on most teams he is easily worth 1x6 but hey if you guys wanna give out 3rd for Hamonic level players be my guest

That contract is 45M though not in the 50s or 60s. I assume he asks for 8M per year minimum if not more
