If that’s our bottom 6 in 23-24 this team is in big trouble

Agreed. I think Parise is probably out of gas by next year, we’d probably either give Holmstrom or Dufour a shot or get a depth option out of UFA.

Parise, Johnston , and clutter won’t be nhl caliber by next season. Need to start making tough decisions, this is barely an AHL caliber bottom 6

I think we have enough prospects that can at least cut it as bottom 6 guys. If not, we can get creative in UFA.

Lmao johnston is what he is and that wont change by next season. Hes a decent depth forward.
Clutter is still elite defensively and a solid PKer. That also wont change by next season. Will his body break down? Maybe. But on a talent level he will still be an effective 4th liner. Pageau is a great 3C and raty should be good.

I shouldn’t have included Johnston in there, he’s not even depth caliber. If you put him in the ECHL he would struggle, he’s pretty much a guy who can fight on skates. He has no NHL level skills.

Clutter is not a solid PKer and his defensive impact at even strength is cancelled out by his inability to provide any offense. In todays NHL you cannot win with players who are complete offensive blackholes, even on your 4th lane.
It’s embarassing that Lou gave him 1.75 mill x 2 knowing he’s getting shoulder surgery.

The bottom 6 would be bottom 5 in the NHL because the 4th line is arguably the worst in the league.
