laugh Sabres wild card, Not Sabres wont even finish better than 7th in the Atlantic.

And Patrick Kane isn't waiving to go home to Buffalo. Whenever he's home trouble follows.

Sabres will finish above Detroit and Ottawa, which means they'll be a contender for a wild card spot.
Kane hasnt had an issue in Buffalo in over 12 years. The future is now

laugh laugh Keep telling yourself that, There is no way Buffalo is finishing ahead of Detroit and Ottawa. Adding a few young pieces along with that goaltending isn't putting Buffalo in a wild card spot.

Detroit is severely overrated. Not only is Seider due to regress slightly, he wouldnt be carrying Detroit anyway. Detroits Defense as a whole is atrocious, their goaltending is a huge ?, and their offense is slightly improved - they were the worst offense in the league last year so theyll need more than a slight improvement. Flashly free agents dont make you a better team

laugh laugh Husso+Nedeljkovic > > > > > > Anderson+Comrie.

Detroit's D atrocious adding both Chiarot and Maatta strengthens our D core by quite a bit. And i'm sorry but Seider will carry the team even more.

Adding Copp, Perron and Kubalik on top for the forwards will solidify the forward core even more.

But keep talking the crazy talk. Even though Buffalo finished one point ahead of Detroit. Detroit won the series 3-0 and is far better than a year ago. Buffalo is a royal joke.

based on what.
Anderson > Nedeljkovic last year
Both Comrie and Husso had flash in the pan seasons
Seems like cope-ium
Speaking of Cope-ium: Maatta
3rd pair dman that Detroit fans are trying to hype themselves up about, yeah he'll really stabilize that D along with (-30) over the last 2 years Chiarot

Detroit beat Aaron Dell, an ECHL goalie, and Tokarski an AHL goalie, and had to go to OT 3 times to do it

Not tanking sure, but they aren't exactly trying to be better either.

They've improved more than Buffalo, No one even wants to stay on that dumpster fire team. They can't even keep good talent around for long. Just look at Eichel and Reinhart. Buffalo is a royal joke.

They are, not by wasting money in free agency, which despite everyone knowing what a scam UFAs are, and that the best teams build through the draft, everyone still holds free agent signings as the benchmark for improvement. Quinn, Peterka, Savoie will all probably be in the NHL at some point this year, Krebs, Cozens, Asplund, Power, and Samuelsson are taking steps forward, along with Skinner Tuch and Olofsson being established.

Yeah Vegas is doing fantastic with that locker room cancer. The Sabres are much better off without them, thats such a casual take

Well they were garbage and did nothing but watch other bottom feeders get drastically better like Ottawa I'd say that can fall under the tanking category.

Nikita Zaitsev is Ottawa number 1 RD. They aren’t going anywhere. Detroit 1 number LHD is Ben Chiarot they also aren’t winning anything. All 3 teams will be 80 point teams. It’s funny how both Ottawa and Detroit finished below Buffalo when the Sabres faced so much adversity at the start of the season and both Yzerman and Dorion think they are ready to compete for a playoff spot.

See how it plays out but i think Detroit and Ottawa both take a solid step forward and I see buffalo taking a step in the other direction. Don't see any reason to be optimistic for buffalo this coming year.

can Savoie play this year? Doesnt he have to either come to Buf or stay in junior?

Playoffs are a long shot they had 75 points last year, 80-85 points is probably their goal. I think it’s reasonable to assume that happens.

Wouldn’t trade that much for Kane, our 1st in this draft is untouchable.

You honestly couldn’t see Buffalo doing better if McDavid joined the team so your opinion is practically meaningless at this point. We know you hate Buffalo; so go away.

The Sabres didnt get better? Theyre adding top line prospects while those bottom feeders just wasted 10s of millions on contracts that will immediately look terrible. UFAs rarely improve teams. None of them signed a sleeper like Bunting (for example)

I think the Sabres are absolutely heading the right way. Unfortunately for many hockey fans, they aren't going to get the benefit of the doubt. It's bizarre that fans of teams that finished behind us feel like they can dunk on us, no worries, there's no awards for winning the summer. Should be a good year, absolutely nobody is picking the Sabres to do anything, except maybe beat the Habs.

Absolutely agree. I am completely stoked. With the additions that Detroit and Ottawa made, they will be better but the joke will be on them when the Sabres' remarkable prospect pool begins showing huge dividends, creating a team that will be competitive for years. The future is bright in Buffalo. Anyone who can't see that is in for quite a surprise in a couple years.
