Description

Having allowed Burakovsky to walk, I'm not too sure the Avalanche would be interested in Iafallo, but unlike Bura, he's a fixed asset . . .

Colorado adds two high-quality middle-6 forwards but loses a #2LhD. Moverare looked good in his late-season audition so he is probably a better #3 than MacDermid.

Plenty of cap room to add by trade or signing, or bring up someone up from the AHL, four possibilities of whom are shown on the non-existent Taxi Squad.

An alternative is Sean Walker instead of Jacob Moverare and the third. Walker would certainly be a better #3 LD than Moverare but would restrict the roster to 22 players. (Sedlak's spot would be taken by one of the youngsters on the Taxi Squad.)

Good question. The Answer is No, but my thinking was that Rodrigues or Compher plays center on the third line. If that doesn't work, this scenario falls apart, as you hint.

Not saying its a bad trade but to me I think personally Avs should try to trade Girard for a 2c

Or in general they should go out and get a 2c as while there is potential for Newhook, Myers, or JTC to thrive in the role I feel its more likely they will need to go trade for someone like Dvorak, Pius Suter, or Wennberg.
