That DET trade is wretched for VAN, at least until we know more about Edvinsson at the NHL level. Hughes is worth WAY more than this.

Add some protections on that 1st, and have him come with an extension, and yeah, CBJ accept.

I also think putting Peeke on the top pair is a bit much for him. He played those minutes for us out of necessity, not necessarily because that is what his game is built for.

Understandable. Taking the Nyquist hit to make it work certainly benefits CBJ so I put the first.

Of course. Thing is, with CBJ’s current cap situation, we’d either need you to take cap back (Nyquist), or retain half. Even with retention, though, I think we’d be compliant but pretty (uncomfortably) close to the limit.
