Habs give away a goalie making 10 million and can not play and Galagher a once good player who is showing the wear and tears of a veteran and come away with Tavares and a 1st.

Yes because Tavares value is negative because of his insane contract. Gallagher will bounce back and has more grit than the entire Leafs roster.

While I agree about Gallagher, you need a mix of grit and skill, they are not going to trade Tavares , whom by the way has a NMC, and a 1st for a contract that is also bad.

To be blunt, yes are Leafs weak, yes, but they are not trading the home town hero and even if they wanted too, he can veto any deal. And he is not going to Montreal, sorry, he is just not accepting that deal.
