The big question I always ask in ACGMs where one deal turns into another: If Pittsburgh was willing to give up Bryan Rust for Ryan McDonagh, why does it go through Montreal instead of the Penguins calling up Nashville directly?

Also, I can't see a world where deBrincat signs an offer sheet that's actually something like a 20% pay cut.

Not to mention we only have nine dmen currently, so hey, why not add a tenth and get rid of a top winger, right?

      Pens swiftly decline this one.

We just gunna ignore the micheal pezzetta contract? Or the 15 forwards and 4 defenseman roster? Or debrincat at C? Or the Harvey-pinard deal?

the 5x$5M for Cat and the hop-scotching trades had me too shook to even notice that

I take it back, I love this team with my whole heart, it is so incredibly chaotic

I take back what I said. I did a deeper dive and I'm very confused. He trades for Rust after acquiring a player to trade him for only to trade Rust for future considerations.

Sure Price retires, because people just walk away from $24,500,,000 all the time🙄.
TB doesn't have the cap space I'd love it though
