They wont get far considering they are maxed out cap wise with no extra roster players and Injuries are bound to happen....
And not signing McLeod is a big mistake.

Rodrigues should come in cheaper than that. You're out of cap space with just a 20 man roster and still have to sign McLeod.

Honestly I think its clear that the Oilers would be better off with Ryan + Foegele than they would with Milano + Rodrigues. Especially considering the fact that teams will want picks to take Ryan and Foegele.

    Combined 5v5 stats

    Goals/60
    R+F: 1.41
    M+R: 1.15

    Points/60
    R+F: 3.15
    M+R: 3.37

    Shots/60
    R+F: 13.56
    M+R: 16.15

    iSCF/60
    R+F: 14.30
    M+R: 15.60

    ixG/60
    R+F: 1.39
    M+R: 1.48

    iHDCF/60
    R+F: 6.87
    M+R: 6.91

    Hits/60
    R+F: 10.66
    M+R: 6.37

    Takeaways/60
    R+F: 4.44
    M+R: 3.55

    Faceoff win percentage
    Ryan: 60.37
    Rodrigues: 47.06

So Edmonton's duo scores more, hits more, defends better and wins 60% of the faceoffs. I don't see how paying assets to have someone take Ryan + Foegele just to get fewer goals, less physicality and poorer faceoff performance is worth the edge in assists and shots.
