For the Bruins Clifton is not being waved. Neither is Studnicka. Clifton is in this team’s lineup when they’re healthy. They can’t afford to lose a RD and Clifton would get claimed for sure.

A few guys on the team who could be waved are AJ Greer, and definitely Chris Wagner.

Usau is waivers exempt (unless you selected the wrong guy accidently)

Clifton agreed but Studnicka is not guaranteed. Front office has had some questionable decisions with younger players and I'm not sure where they see him in the lineup.

I guess there may be a chance Studnicka gets waived. A better alternative is just trading him, which I am all for at this point. Maybe it’s too late at that point, but we could really see what he can do after this season if Bergeron and Krejci retire. But for right now, he doesn’t fit in the lineup

They can always give him a shot on the right wing again under a different coach and systems or have more of a two-way 4th line which is what I would do. Waivers should not be considered at all.

My thinking was Lindholm, McAvoy, Grzelcyk, Carlo, Reilly, Forbort, Zboril make team. Clifton, Ahcan, Wolf on the outside of bubble. You all would know better than I would.

Not sure what happened there. Fat finger waiver add, I guess. (Don’t think Usov would make it through).

It's possible with Texier being injured there is a roster spot for him, but someone I'll be keeping an eye on is Liam Foudy

LAK are another team with a glut of forwards, so someone like Jaret Anderson Dolan or Lias Anderson could have to pass.

Yeah he could definitely play on the 4th line but that’s not a great opportunity. The thing is I have been more impressed with guys like McLaughlin, Steen, and Frederic. And then there is also Nosek and Greer who could be above him. But we’ll see

It’s fine to have 2 extra dman as healthy scratches. Besides Clifton will usually play over Reilly because he’s a right d. Zboril could take Clifton’s spot in the lineup possibly but then Clifton would just be a healthy scratch. And then at some point in the year Reilly may be traded so keeping Clifton is absolutely what they’ll do for depth and because he is one of their top 6 dmen most likely.

As you said "Starting at 12 days before opening of season, teams will begin cutting down rosters to get to 23..."

Bruins won't have Grzelcyk and McAvoy to begin the season and once they're ready, they can still go with eight defensemen. If someone has to be traded, Reilly is the most likely, doubt Clifton is the one getting moved or waived. Not really important here but depth chart is probably in this order: Carrick/Ahcan, Renouf/Wissmann (unknown), Wolff/Berglund, Callahan.
