More than anything, ice time and a bigger role, which you're not really giving him. I don't think money is the sticking point, but yeah you'd probably need to pay him a little more.

you are right, but right now sandin doesnt even have a spot, on the left they have riley, muzzin and Gio. i dont really blame him for not wanting to sign since there is no spot for him. at least here he gets a bottom pair role on his natural side and can maybe work into what SERGACHEV was on tampa, he played on the bottom pair but was really a top 4 D.

I like Ekholm, but adding another LD to an already crowded spot doesn't make much sense.

This trade would leave a gaping hole in TOR's top 6. I'm assuming TOR would pass on this one.

Sandin wants a spot. He has one in Nashville. He would probably sign that. Leafs don't make this trade though.
