This is a violation of the CBA he cannot resign with Dallas if traded and then bought out for a year from the trade

Sorry but it's illegal and cap circumvention, Orpik was under the old CBA. The new CBA forbids this very thing.

And why would Detroit want Khudobin? When we've Husso and Nedeljkovic. Detroit passes Sundqvist isn't going anywhere.

Even if it were legal, you would need to send alot more assets for them to want to consider this.

It's not in the new 2020 CBA Update I'm pretty dang sure, BUT it's entirely possible it was an immediate amendment in 2018 after Orpik was traded.

“A buyout can only be performed on a player who was on the clubs reserve list at 3:00pm on the most recent trade deadline”

Buyout FAQ

Thus this is against the CBA.

Well, if Benn is bought out he still makes a lot of money. And then he gets to go back and play in DAL, where he wants to be. BUT!!!! It is cap circumvention and I'm pretty sure it would not be allowed.

Benn’s buyout is horrible. And six years long which doesn’t work with their five year rebuild plan

Bourque and the first is more than I’d be willing to pay to move Benn. Wyatt and Stankoven have gotten all the attention lately but Bourque is going to be a VERY good player

At least at the end of dirt cheap though.

Also, Bourqe and that 1st should pay for dumping Benn's contract, but CHI isn't sending back Raddysh.

That Benn trade is horrific. And the idea stinks too.

And a firm No from the Wings.
