Without any retention I'm sure it would take less but It makes a lot of sense for Jones to go to Buffalo as well

They need a RHD, I'm sure if Kane knew they were going after Jones he'd be more inclined to go, Buffalo ain't my team just thought since they have cap space it be an interesting trade

I think Chicago would take less on a potential Kane trade if a team would take Jones so they can fully start over.

they aren't in cap trouble, why move Jones for pennies on the dollar - doesn't make sense.
chicago can still rebuild, with or without Jones, no need to give him away for nothing.

My favorite thing about the Sabres is this ACGM has them literally taking on two guys worth $20M this year and they still have almost $10M in space after it.
