Arizona happily walks away from this. Wouldn’t do it for chychrun straight up, let alone also retaining for Toronto’s purposes

Instead of working on something this complicated, couldn't you devote your time to something less taxing, like finding a cure for cancer or getting me a date with Salma Hayek to go to the nude beach at Malibu? (I'll bring the suntan oil.)

Yeah if severson actually signs 5x5. If he signs for 6 million+ like everyone on this sight says he will then I don’t think I do it

Easy no from VAN. Severson is not taking a discount.

How much do you think he is worth? I thought this was a fair contract for what he brings.

I like the creativity of the trade but these are the problems I see with the complex trade

Arizona: The rumored price for Chychurn is a high end prospect, 2 firsts, and a cap dump. If Robertson + Mukhamudullin get changed to a higher prospect + 1st, then the trade could go somewhere.

Devils: At the draft, Devils were offered a trade for DeBrincat but they declined. The seemingly reason being that Devils wanted team controlled players. Just like Cat, Nylander is not team controlled so giving up Severson + 1st + 1st round prospect from 2 years ago isn't realistic

Canucks: They should take that. Trading a rental for a top 4 RD (which they need) plus 3 picks is good value.

Maple Leafs: Leafs need to add more value for Arizona. The Chychurn target does seem smart considering that Chychurn is on a great contract. I don't really get trading 1 year of Miller for 2 years of Nylander.

For the trades to make sense, it should be two separate trades. NJ and Vancouver. Toronto and Arizona
