I mean, I'm not mad at it

I wonder if this means Verbeek is done or if he still wants more pieces

Dang I wish canes would’ve jumped on this. Kulikov would’ve been a perfect 3LD

He stated he still wants a winger after he got Klingberg. Would assume meaning a trade or FA?

They might do another cap dump deal hopefully with assets added on. Loads of cap space

Thats...... odd. Kulikov certainly seems to have earned his cap space last season, so I'm in no way mad about it, looks like it will shore up the defense and give Gibby and Stoli some more cover.

Who is Minnesota trying to get now that they have 5 mil in cap space.......

I kind of hope Sonny gets a PTO from the Ducks. At this point with him still unsigned it has to either be he is asking too much money for anyone to bite or he has a major attitude problem, I can't fathom any other reason he is still unsigned.

I can't imagine thats it, they probably could have gotten him for 2-3 mil and had that room already for a one year deal.... and Kuli is on an expiring contract. There is f***ery about.

EJ would be at the deadline imo but I wouldn't mind if if we deal both Shatty and Klinger

Hornqvist for a 2023 2nd would make me happy

JVR I think would need to come with like a 1st imo with a 7M cap hit

Unless we see a trade the free agent market really isn’t great de Haan, subban also available

If they get JVR and Patric it would take 13 million only for a season of time bring in a 2025 1st and 2023 2nd Anaheim is golden

I don't think Philly does, I think Ellis doesn't play this year, and if he stays on LTIR they are compliant.

I doubt EJ waives if they look like there is a shot at the cup.

Maybe they're looking at getting Kerfoot for spare parts. I am struggling to think of another team that has as valuable an asset that the need to dump as Toronto.

id assume it would be one or the other, we operate internally at around 72M cap hit so not sure that would go up tp buy draft picks, maybe if it was half the season assuming we could flip them both for something decent at 50% each

Nyquist might fit but kerfoot is cheaper. kerfoot for a 3rd is probably the cap.

Higher odds for horns it’s because philly has not been willing to part with a first for a year of 7 million

After reading a bunch of stuff, it seems like Sonny is maybe not a guy that the team really wanted around…which would also explain why he found himself on the 4th line so often last year.

If it’s true, I have no issues if he’s gone.

I know his scoring was basically non existent unless he was on Zegras' line, so I question how much it was Z making him look good vs Milano getting it done himself. He is exactly the type of guy we need to finish that line, someone who will go to the dirty areas and the front of the net to get the garbage goals. His lack of effort off the puck has been cited throughout his career as well.

While there is nothing concrete I can find to back it up, I had heard there was friction between him and coaching staff over his compete level and effort given.

I think I saw that sometime during last season, I think Comtois is a perfect LW for Zegras and Terry while they get home back on track as well

I'm starting to question if the reason Eakins put Grant on Zegra's line was to prove a point, that proximity to Zegras can make even an old warhorse like Grant have a career year and was trying to get Milano fired up to fight for his spot.

I mean, anyone that played with Z played their best hockey last year
