Thats not remotely enough for Robertson. On a side note trading substantial futures for another American player seems pretty dumb right now. Very unlikely that Robertson would sign that deal with Calgary too

Obviously in a trade for Robertson's rights it would include a deal in place, and people need to stop being paranoid about American players because of 2 guys. The situations w/ Tkachuk and Gaudreau are not every American player. With Johnny, you can tell dude is a mama's boy (I don't mean that negatively) and his dad is his best friend. With Matthew, I'm pretty sure he still lives with his parents in the off-season, again not meant as disparagement, but rather pointing out how close they are w/ their families.

We don't see the same thing w/ other players, even the American ones. The Coleman's came up for the playoffs, but other than that it was just Blake and his wife/daughters. We don't see the same with Hanifin's or the Lewis' either.

Im not paranoid, I am really hoping Hanifin extends and I think he will. To me it is just too soon of a wound. I don't see any realistic path to acquiring Robertson though

You would need to add at minimum probably a package centred around Coronato, Zary, a first, and likely Hanifin, something like that would be alot more palatable for them but only if they decide to blow it up which wouldnt work with the Seguin and Benn contracts eating a massive chunk of their cap space so overall yea its probably not gonna happen.

Robertson would’ve signed that deal in DAL already. And that’s before you factor in taxes. Trade isn’t close.
