dach

Created by: editor9999
Team: 2022-23 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 1, 2022
Published: Sep. 1, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I don't know where Dach fits in the lineup
Suzuki is the obvious 1C
Dvorak is likely the 2C
Monahan (I believe he's healthy and ready to go for training camp) is the 3C (Could bump Dvorak down)
Evans is the 4C
Dach can play RW but there's no way he's on the 4th line. Dadonov and Anderson are likely the two best RWs. (Unless Caufield moves back to RW) There's also Paul Byron and Joel Armia (they both can play LW though). And who couldn't forget Brendan Gallagher. I doubt Gally will be on the 4th line.
The top line will probably be
Caufield-Suzuki-Dadonov/Anderson
Slafkovsky-Suzuki-Caufield
Where should Dach go?
Drouin-Dvorak-Dach?
Slafkovsky-Dvorak-Dach?
Anderson-Dvorak-Dach?

Would it be better to give Slafkovsky half a season in Laval and go Dvorak - Dach - Anderson and Drouin - Monahan - Gallagher? That way you'd have one newcomer on each of the second and third lines.

I don't remember being all that impressed with Kakko's first year or LaFreniere's first year. Or Dahlin's for that matter, although all of them showed flashes of great promise. And it's not as if Slafkovsky playing 80 games instead of 40 games is going to mean the difference between making the playoffs and missing them.

Dahlin had 44 points as a rookie. Laff had 12 goals in his rookie season. (Around a 17-18 goal pace in a 82 game season) Kakko only had 23 points in his rookie season (Might've reached 30 in a 82 game season).
I do see Slafkovsky playing more than expected. (60-65 games). I don't have high hopes and if he's able to play that much I expect 25 points.
